Frame/Pedestal: Framed.
The work is a self-portrait by the artist, created during his time as a Soviet prisoner of war in the Küstrin camp (today Kostrzyn nad Odra in Poland). Despite the adverse circumstances, Felixmüller nevertheless managed to continue drawing.
