You have chosen a limit of more than 5.000 €, therefore we ask you to provide EITHER auction house references OR bank references. This can be in the form of invoices from other auction houses or galleries, or a bank reference confirming your creditworthiness. You can choose, both are not necessary. If you are already a customer of VAN HAM and have sent us the first bidder form, this step is not necessary.
According to § 8 paragraph 2 of the Money Laundering Act, we have been obliged to implement extended security measures since 01.01.2020. This includes a complete copy of the identity card of the customer. Accordingly, we must ask all our bidders to send us a copy of their valid identity card with front and back. If you only have a passport without a valid address, we would also have to ask you to send us a copy of a bill showing this (for example, an electricity bill). Please understand that without the complete copy we cannot approve you for our auction. We apologize for the circumstances.
