- Marusch-Krohn, Caren: Meissener Porzellan 1918-1933. Die Pfeifferzeit, Leipzig 1993, p. 65, model comparsion cat. rais. no. 76.
- Rafael, Johannes: Paul Scheurichs (1883-1945) Porzellane für die Meissener Manufaktur, Meissen 1995, p. 32-33.

Paul Scheurich's figurative models struck a chord with the 20th century, despite their historicised motifs and rococo-like grace. The pendule, which was first cast in bronze in 1915 and finally in porcelain in 1919, and in which he took up the baroque type of the putto, also enjoyed great popularity among buyers.
