The 'Bajazzo' is a 'comic figure' from Italian opera. He stands in a dancing pose leaning against a column covered by a drape. His facial expressions and gestures are emphatically theatrical. This figure by Scheurich is also inspired by the 'Russian Ballet' and closely related to the group 'Harlequin and Columbine'.
