Technique: Silver, the vessels with inner-gilding.
Description: All pieces engraved with crossed flowering branches and bird of paradise above. The handles of the tray and the vessels each with two movable rings. On the tray dedication: "Dem Kaiserlichen Deutschen Consul Herrn Legationsrath A. Brauer / Zur Erinnerung an seine Wirksamkeit in der Deutschen Colonie in St. Petersburg den 18/30 April 1881." ("To the Imperial German Consul Mr. Legationsrath A. Braun / In memory of his effectiveness in the German Colony in St. Petersburg the 18/30 April 1881.")
Nine pieces in all. Consisting of: Tea pot, sugar bowl, milk jug, tea glass holder, sugar tongs, spoon, strainer, two-pronged fork and a round tray and accompanying wooden box.
Weight: Ca. 2530g.
Measurement: Height of the pot 11cm, Width tray 43cm, measurements of the box 14,5x46x38cm.
Mark: Inspection mark St. Petersburg predominantly with 1878 or 1879 with 84 standard silver (Goldberg no.1184, 1212, 1188), maker's mark of company Sazikov in Cyrillic.
(Company Pavel Fjodorovitsh Sazikov, 1793 founded in Moscow, since 1846 supplier of the Court, ibid. cf. nr.1301, 1302). Some pieces with more distinct dents.
