Frame/Pedestal: Craftman's frame.

Enclosed with the work is a certificate from Samy Kinge, Paris, dated 30 January 2004. The work will be included in the catalogue raisonné currently being prepared.

- The attractive late work shows a turning away from the Surrealist style and towards simplified forms of his fantasy beings and creatures
- The painting was shown at the 1966 Venice Biennale
- The National Museum in Timisoara (Romania), this year's Capital of Culture, dedicated a first retrospective to Victor Brauner in spring 2023 with numerous loans from the Centre Pompidou
- Works by the artist are in important public collections, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, Peggy Guggenheim Collection, Venice.
