This colour etching from 1964, created exclusively for Galerie Rothe, picks up on the compositional element of Karl Fred Dahmen's montage paintings: the rectangular shape at the centre of the work. Galerie Rothe, founded in Heidelberg in 1958, became an important publisher of German Informel prints in the Federal Republic of Germany and cooperated regularly with Karl Fred Dahmen.
