Karl Fred Dahmen begins his terrestrial phase in his painterly work from 1957 onwards, which is also accompanied by large-scale abstract murals at Heidelberg University and Schweinfurt Theatre. The colour etching "Untitled" from 1964 reproduces the structure-like earthy forms of this period.
