Bernard Schultze's paintings from the 1980s are often characterised by sombre colour tones. Here, however, "...from the waters" rises a colourful structure in which, with a little imagination, both topographical and figurative elements can be discovered. The explosion of colour captivates the viewer both from a distance and up close.
